The bible clearly states that every human being is lost in sin. Sinful life causes problems and suffering in the present life and also there is an eternal punishment after life which is commonly termed as hell where human spirit is tormented for ever and there is no way out from there. Most of the religions agree this truth.

A person becomes a sinner not because of his own wrong doings but because he has born with a sinful nature. In other words, man is sinning because he is a sinner. There is an instinct of sin in him. This instinct can be seen from the very childhood onwards where a little child shows all the sinful attributes. For example, when a six month old child’s mother puts him down and takes another child, the first child starts to scream because of jealousy. When a two year old child’s toys are taken by his neighbor, he fights for it. Who taught him to be jealous? Who taught him to fight? Who taught him to lie? It was all in him from his birth.

“Behold I was brought forth in inequity, and in sin my mother Conceived me”(Psalms.106.5)

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners” (Romans.5.19)

“None is righteous no not one…..All have turned aside, together they have gone wrong; no one does good, not even one.”(Romans.3.10-12)

The sum of all works done by man to solve the ’sin problem’ can be called as ‘man made religion’. For centuries, man tried to reconcile with God by his own efforts. It includes good works, sacrifices and offerings. Although all these things may be good,God cannot accept them. Mango is good but if it is offered from an ugly hand, it will be accepted by none.

“We are all infected and impure with sin. When we proudly display our righteous deeds, we find they are but filthy rags” (Isaiah.64.6)

“For though hast no delight in sacrifice; were I to give a burnt offering, though wouldst not pleased.”(Psalms.51.16)

When all the efforts of man to reconcile with God failed, seeing his pitiful condition, God had mercy upon him.

“But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound…..”(Romans.5.20)

So God himself prepared a way for the salvation of mankind…such a simple way!!

“For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John.3.16)

God made the way of salvation so simple that through faith anyone can attain it.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God-not because of works, lest any man should boast.”(Ephesians.2.8, 9)

God made it simple and absolutely free for each of us. But God Himself had to pay for it and suffer in our place. That means nothing is actually free of cost, somebody has to pay for it.

Dear reader, Jesus Christ came to this world dividing the history in to two to pay the penalty of the sins of the mankind. Yes, yours too. He died on the cross of Calvary in place of you as a perfect and acceptable sacrifice before the righteousness of God.

Prophet Isaiah foresaw the sacrificial death of Jesus 700 years before it happened on the cross.

“Yes it was our sickness he carried; it was our disease that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God for His own sins! But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped and we were healed! All of us have strayed away like sheep .We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the guilt and sins of us all……But it was LORD’s good plan to crush him and fill him with grief. Yet when His life is made an offering for sin, he will have a multitude of children” (Isaiah.53.4-10)

In Apostle Paul’s words:-

“For God made Christ who never sinned, to be the offering of our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”(2 Corinthians.5.21)

Thus on the cross of Calvary, God himself done everything needed for the remission of the sins of all. Jesus did everything in place of us to fulfill what the law of God demanded from us sinners. He paid what we could not pay.

How can you be personally benefited from this?

Many ask this question: How the blood of Jesus shed 2000 years back can wash my sins today?

The salvation plan of God did not end up just with the death and burial of Jesus. On the third day, fulfilling the prophetic scriptures, Jesus Christ rose up from the dead. Then He appeared to His disciples and commanded them to preach the Good News to all mankind unto the end of the ages. The risen Lord also promised that when anywhere at anytime this gospel is shared, He will grant His presence to forgive ,save and to heal those who believe on Him.(Mathew.28.16-20;Mark.16.15-20)Yes, He is alive and still working today.

Now dear friend, as you read this, the same Jesus is standing beside you knocking at the door of your heart. Open your heart and welcome Him by believing and confessing with your mouth like this:

‘Dear Jesus, I believe that you came to earth , died for my sins and rose up on the third day. I confess you as my Lord and saviour. Come in to my heart, forgive my sins and make me a new creation-Amen’.

If you have prayed this prayer with a sincere and believing heart, you are saved now. Your name is written in the Book of Life. (Revelation.20.15)You have passed the judgment of God. Thank God for saving you. From this moment you can see a tremendous change, peace and joy in your life.

Faith in god

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, I shall have no pleasure in him” (Heb 10:38).
In Bristol, England, George Muller had an orphanage feeding one thousand and five hundred children. It was Mr.Muller’s strict orders that the orphanage be run by faith – his staff members were not to ask anyone for money or even indirectly reveal to anyone the need for money.
One morning, George Muller was informed that there was absolutely no food in the orphanage and that even if they were to receive some money then, by the time they went to the market and made the purchases and cooked the food, the children would faint. George Muller prayed and told his staff to make the children sit in rows as usual, and serve the plates. Then the children were asked to praise God for the food God had given them. The children, not knowing the crisis, praised God enthusiastically. That very moment someone knocked at the gate of the orphanage and asked whether it was George Muller’s orphanage. A horse cart loaded with food was at the gate and the man wanted to know where he had to unload the food. George Muller told his staff to serve the food right away. That day they had a delicious feast. What had happened was that, a marriage reception had been arranged in a neighbouring village but they were not able to hold the reception as someone in the family of the bridegroom had died. When they were wondering what to do with all the food someone suggested that they send the food there.
Once George Muller remarked that he was taking all the trouble to feed the children by faith because he wanted to prove the world that God can be trusted.

Dear friends, have you learned to trust in the Lord for all your needs? The central verse in the Bible is, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man” (Psa 118:8). If you want to be in the centre of God’s will, go to the centre of God’s word.

Be committed to spending time with God.

Posted by shivafriendofjesus in Aug 05, 2009, under Uncategorized

For the spirit that GOD has given us does not make us timid; instead, his spirit fills us with power, love and self-control. Do not be ashamed, then, of witnessing for our lord; instead, take your part in suffering for the good news, as god gives you the strength to do it.
2Timothy 1:7

Being committed is very important. It is not what we did wrong once that got our lives into such a mess; it was what we did wrong consistently. And doing something right once or twice won’t help us live the new life God has for us. We must persevere and do what we know we should do even when we don’t feel like doing it. We must be consistent. God has given you a spirit of self-control and discipline and all you need to do is exercise it.
Be committed to spending time with God.

As you enter your new life that is to be lived by, with, and for God, you will find that many of his principles seem upside-down from the world’s way. Actually it is the world that is upside-down and God’s kingdom that is right side up. We are not accustomed to doing things God’s way, and at first they may seem difficult or hard to understand.

He still remains faithful

Posted by shivafriendofjesus in Aug 05, 2009, under Uncategorized

“God’s spirit joins himself to our spirits to declare that we are God’s Children”. Romans 8:11

If spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in us, then he who raised Jesus from death will also give life to our mortal bodies by the presence of his spirit in us.
We know that in all things god works for good with those who love him, those who he has called according to his purpose.

Those whom God had already chosen, he also set apart to become like his son, so that the son would be the eldest brother in a large family. And so those whom God set apart, he called; and those whom he called, he put right with himself, and he shared his glory with them.

Once we accept Jesus as our savior, Lord gushes his precious blood in us and makes us, his own people. As our blood has life.
When God looks at us for judgment, he can just see the blood of Christ in us and forgives us in all means as Christ has shed his blood for our sins and to save our lives.

“If we have died with Christ,
We shall also live with him.
If we continue to endure,
We shall also rule with him.
If we deny him,
He also will deny us.
If we are not faithful,
He still remains faithful,
Because, our Lord cannot be false to himself”.

There is nothing in all creations that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord

Christ will shine on you

Posted by shivafriendofjesus in Aug 04, 2009, under Uncategorized

For anything that is clearly revealed becomes light. That is why it is clearly said:
“Wake up, sleeper,
And rise from death,
And Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14
Since we are God’s dear children, we must try to be like him. Our life must be controlled by love, just as Christ loved us and gave his life for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifices that pleased God.
Since we are God’s people, it is not right that any matters of sexual immorality or indecency or greed should even be mentioned among us. Nor it is fitting for us to use language which is obscene, profane or vulgar.
Rather we should give thanks to God. We may be sure that no one who is Drunkard (drinking wine will ruin you) immoral, indecent or greedy (for greed is a form of idolatry) will ever receive the kingdom of Christ and of God
So we must be very careful how we live. We must not live like an ignorant people, but like wise people. Make use of every good opportunity we have, because these are evil days. Try to find out what lord wants us to do.
Let us be filled with spirit. Speak to one another with the promising words and sacred songs. Praise the Lord from your heart and so we shall glow as the Christ‘s Glow and light is on us.
How happy are those who receive the light of Christ.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father

Your Righteousness

Posted by shivafriendofjesus in Jul 31, 2009, under Uncategorized

Have time to read… EXCELLENT Message……
A man woke up early in order to have his morning devotion (prayer) in the Lord’s house (church). He got dressed, set on his way to the Lord’s house. On his way to the church, the man fell and his clothes got dirty. He got up, brushed himself up, and headed home.

At home, he changed his clothes, and was, again, on his way to the Lord’s house. On his way to the church, he fell again and at the same spot!   He, again, got up, brushed himself off and headed home. At home he, once again, changed his clothes and was on his way to the Lord’s house.

On his way to the church, he met a man holding a lamp. He asked the man of his identity and the man replied “I saw you fall twice on you r way to the church, so I brought a lamp so I can light your way. The first man thanked him profusely and the two went on their way to the church. Once at the church, the first man asked the man with the lamp to come in and pray with him. The second man refused. The first man asked him a couple more times and, again, the answer was the same. The first man asked him why he did not wish to come in and pray.

The man replied, “I am Satan”. The man was shocked at this reply. Satan went on to explain, “I saw you on your way to the Church and it was I who made you fall. When you went home, cleaned yourself and went back on your way to the church, God forgave all of your sins. I made you fall a second time, and even that did not encourage you to stay home, but rather, you went back on your way to Church. Because of that, God forgave all the sins of the people of your household. I was afraid if I made you fall one more time, then God will forgive the sins of the people of your village, so I made sure that you reached the house of God (Church) safely”

Do not put off the good you intended to do as you never know how much reward you might receive from the hardships you encounter while trying to achieve that good, For your righteousness can save your family and your near ones.

“don’t tell god how big your problems are, tell your problems how big your god is”

word of god

“”For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NLT Thoughts for Today
We are valuable to God. How could he have expressed his love for us any more than to send his only Son to die so that we might have life.
Focusing on these scriptures—and others like them—can remind you who you are in Christ Jesus …
You are forgiven. 1 John 1:9
You have been made right in God’s sight. Romans 5:1
You are righteous. 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 3:26
You are loved. 1 John 3:1, 1 John 4:10
You are a member of God’s family. Ephesians 2:19
You are known by God. Matthew 10:30
You are God’s child. Romans 8:14
You are an overcomer. 1 John 5:3-5
You are his masterpiece—designed for a purpose. Ephesians 2:10
Consider this …
Have other people said or done things that make it hard for you to see yourself as God sees you? … Or maybe you won’t forgive yourself for past failures or sins.
Bring all the self-doubt and self-condemnation to Jesus. Receive his forgiveness … and then walk tall. Meditate on scriptures like these that tell you how important you are to God. How much he loves you. How complete forgiveness in Jesus really is. And what great plans he has for you.

Prayer …
Father, thank you for your great love for me. Thank you for forgiveness. Thank you that I am special to you. Help me to view myself not as others do, not from my own perspective, but the way you see me. In Jesus’ name …

Strength Beyond Self

Posted by shivafriendofjesus in Jul 30, 2009, under Uncategorized

psalm34_101Strength Beyond Self

READ | 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 KJV
8For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
9But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
10Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
11Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

“Into every life a little rain must fall.” So goes the familiar saying about the inevitability of hardship. But what if the rain turns into a torrential downpour like a life challenge that requires strength beyond what is humanly possible? The apostle Paul describes such a situation in his letter to the Corinthians. He wrote of an affliction that weighed so heavily on his heart and body that he didn’t expect to survive.
Paul’s approach to his problem, found in 2 Corinthians 1, still works today: “We would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead . . . and will deliver us”. The strength that we need during trials is available through Jesus Christ, whose supernatural energy flows through every believer’s mind, body, and spirit.

How does this happen? John

says when someone receives Jesus as Savior, His Spirit comes to live inside the new believer. As a result of this “indwelling, ” the power that Christ demonstrated while on earth prevails in those who now call upon Him for aid. However, for us to access His supernatural strength, we must trust His promise to supply what we need when we need it. As long as we attempt to muddle through using our own abilities, we will prevent His Spirit from unleashing divine help.
Jesus Christ’s power is unleashed in our life when we acknowledge our helplessness. The effect is immediate. As soon as we surrender to the Lord, His might is working inside us so we can endure hardship while maintaining our joy and peace.
Jude 1:24-25 KJV
24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Devli condemns….Jesus Justifies

Posted by shivafriendofjesus in Jul 28, 2009, under Uncategorized

The name of satan itself is slanderer which means one who condemns. As he remains as a sinner and never repents satan delights in finding fault in all others.

Satan condemns God before man
He came to the eve the first woman and gave a misrepresentation of her creator. He also lead her mind to belive that God is not interested in her welfare.(Genesis3:1-4)

Satan condemns man before God.
Job chapter 1 and 2 staes that the main work of the devil is to condemn man before God.

Satan comdemns man before man
There are several instances in the bible when we read human race condemning one another. When satan enters us we feel that we are righteous and others are unrighteous. In the bible(John 8) there is an instance where we see some people bringing a woman before Jesus to stone. But Jesus replied that the one without any sin must stone her first.Nowadays we see many people faulting against the righteous.

Satan condemns man before himself
Satan will tempt people to sin and when he sinned he put guilt in to their mind. The guilt feeling will lead him to even bigger sin.He is playing these tricks even on believers. As a result many are living under gulit even after they have believd in Jesus

What is the solution?
The only answer to all these problems is JESUS.In the bible Revelation chapter 12 states that the saints won the evil by the power of the blood and the word of God.Romans chapter 8 says that now there is no condemnation to those who are in CHRIST.It further goes on to say in the 31 verse that “If God is for us, who can be against us?”.So the one who is in Christ is a new creation. No devil can condemn him.He walks not by some handwritten law but by the Holy Spirit
